The Black Market Venue has got to be the most dedicated establishment for showcasing live music acts of all kinds of styles. Whether it be a Friday night covers act, a 10 piece band with brass section in the large function room or hosting a weekend festival with multiple acts and stages. They have it covered and they make it look so easy (when it most definitely is not!) The fact that the staff there are very friendly and passionate about what they do, makes enjoying a pint (or eight) in there even more of a pleasure. It's more of a community that anything else!

This venue has the most immersive atmosphere, everyone that walks through the door is treated as if they've been there forever. Each gig is executed with the attendees in mind, the whole place is so organised; the sound does each individual artist serious justice and the space is immense. Don't get me started on the staff and the bar- top notch bunch of absolute babes serving up top quality beers, including some they brew on site! There's no other venue quite like it and one visit is enough to turn you into a Black Market regular!

The Black Market is a gem of a Music Venue. Something for every music taste, from 80's covers to Rock and Blues...and a sound system to match the quality of musicianship. Two stages, one small for more intimate gigs (which are invariably free to enjoy), to a larger, festival type stage, that has an amazing atmosphere when big sounds come to town. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful whilst providing an excellent service. Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention...they make their own real ales, in their own micro-brewery on site, and they also serve high quality and reasonably priced food. If, like me, you like to unwind and relax when you are out and about, then this is the place for you. i truly can't recommend this place highly enough.
